OK...I have been making baked sweet potato fries for years, and after watching Alton Brown's show on frying and see that, at the proper temperature for fried foods, barely a teaspoon of oil was absorbed in a batch of food. So I tried this recipe. I made it exactly as described, and I can't tell you how wonderful the combination of fries to garlic mayo was. It was fabulous. Both my daughters loved it; one doesn't really like sweet potatoes, but loved this recipe. Highly recommended.

I made this recipe twice without the mayo. The fries are nice crispy and taste great with the basil salt.

Not as good as the sweet potato fries in the restaurants, but they satisfy the craving. They never really got crispy or if they did, it was because I burnt them.

They were very good but mine didn't turn out very crisp. I'll try them again because the taste was very good.

The fries were excellent but the mayonnaise sauce was just awful. Did not go well with the sweet potatoes at all. I would suggest eliminating the garlic, mayonnaise, lemon, whatever you want to call it. Blah!

The recipe was very simple and easy. The fries were awesome but the Garlic Mayonnaise was a little...hmmm, interesting. It left a unsettling feeling in the stomach. I used best mayonnaise on the market but it didn't agree with me.

these are simply addicting. Believe it or not they taste so much better than your typical french fries and ketchup

My husband and I agree that this recipe works just as well with or without the garlic mayonnaise dip. The only change I made to the recipe was to use three cloves of roasted garlic instead of chopped fresh garlic (I prefer a milder garlic flavor.

I made these last night and even my 1 year old loved them! They are so good & easy to prepare. I wasn't sure about all the spices, especially the basil but that made them so good with the dipping sauce. The dipping sauce was what really made them excellant! I'm makiing them again tonight!

I made this a few times without the mayo and it was good. Tonight I added the mayo and it was awesome.
