I thought I would give this recipe a try. I've never had Thai Ice Tea and this was so good. Quick and easy to make. Will be served at my end of summer party.

This Thai Tea was refreashing for a summer ending, and a Fall Beginning.

At last, a Thai Tea recipe that doesn't use Thai tea leaves! If I had Thai tea leaves, I wouldn't need a recipe to make it from scratch (just add some milk and sugar! This doesn't taste exactly like the Thai tea served in Thai restaurants but it is a close facsimile, and I can make this decaf. Maybe adding a touch of vanilla would bring it slightly closer to the version served in Thai restaurants? Thanks, Giada, for this recipe! I love Thai tea but never was able to have it decaf. I had ordered some Thai tea leaves over the internet but its unavailable in decaf, plus it had unhealthy artificial orange coloring added.

So good. Very light tea flavor, which is perfect for me and my family as we don't like tea all that much. That is probably why I like Thai iced tea, because it tastes sweeter than regular tea. But anyways, this recipe is great! I am going to make it for all my roommates next year and I'm probably going to have to make a triple recipe. Double recipe for normal company, but triple for 8 thirsty girls.

I'm a fan of Dunkin' Donuts vanilla chai, and this tastes just like. It was a refreshing treat cold; a nice way to start a summer morning. But I think it would taste equally delicious hot on a cold winter morning.

Way too sweet for me. I like to actually taste the tea. I will probably leave out the sugar, reduce the sweetened condensed milk, and possibly add a couple more tea bags next time?

As is this is sugar coma sweet, so the second time I made it, I didn't add the sugar to the water. I also added an extra tea bag. Maybe I'm just too used to traditional tea, but this combination was perfect for us.
I've also added an almond tea bag instead of the Anise just for a different taste, and it was delicious!
