I love this delicious dessert. It has a very unique taste and is great for an Italian birthday! It has a scruptius taste and is very unique. You should try this great recipe because it tastes better when you make it than when you go to a backery or a resturant for a family dinner! I recomend this to everyone! It is a great recipe tomake with you children or a friend child! So have fun! And enjoy it after ya eat it.

I'm not sure how anyone could say that this dessert is bitter or bland. It is so rich and creamy. It's delicious. I used the hard lady fingers. I found them in a box in the italian specialty food section of my local high-end grocery store. So yummy and easy. I'll definitely make this again!

I had never made tiramisu before and was a little worried it wouldn't turn out - was I wrong! This was sooo good! I used strong coffee and light rum instead of the espresso and dark rum. I also used an 8x8 pan as suggested by several reviews. Try this recipe!!!!

I just made my first tiramisu a few days ago and it was excellent. Family and friends were begging for more! I did make some adjustments though. First I halved the recipe and put it in an 8X8 pan which surprising came out perfectly (it depends on how you layer your tiramisu. Next I couldn't find hard ladyfingers so instead of using soft ladyfingers I bought a box of pound cake mix (which is cheaper than buying one and made my own. I also used chocolate liquor to substitute the rum in the recipe and a can of doubleshots starbuck expresso. Though next time I just might use strong coffee. So, I sliced the pound cake (about 1/2inch thick or a little less, lined the pan with it, and lightly brushed on expresso/liquor mix. I made the cheese mixture just like the recipe except I added an extra tablespoon of sugar and I also mixed in a little bit (about 1/4 cup of heavy cream that I had already beat into a whip cream consistancy on the side. I did that because I was a little worried about my tiramisu being runny. Then I layered my tiramisu normally and topped with a mix of dark chocolate shavings and bits. I had a taste after it had set for an hour and at first I didn't like it that much. I wasn't really liking the aftertaste of the cheese. So I let it set overnight and tried it again. Delicious! The longer it set in my fridge the better it became. It mellowed out and the flavors blended together nicely. And the best part about it was it held its shape! I was worried about it falling apart and being really soggy. It wasn't! I WILL be making this again.

To the it's bitter and runny do you know how to bake. Do you drink espresso?? My husband lived in Italy and when I made this he thought he had died and gone too Italian heaven. The only change I made was in the pan size I used a 9x9x2 pan. Not runny, grainy, or bitter. Better learn how to read directions right....
