    VERY GOOD. TASTY!!

However, only 4/5 stars due to the frosting which was ABSOLUTELY WAY TOO SWEET. Don't get me wrong it was delicious, but overwhelming (like pure glucose. I would definitely recommend less sugar and more jam...the raspberry jam was delicious..will be using it more often. I get what Giada was sort of going for with the sweetness of the frosting and the tart fruitiness of the jam..almost like a raspberry cream cookie, except this being a cake, the frosting is just too SWEET.

But do try it at home, it tastes great. And definitely add fresh raspberries/strawberries. I used both.

Made it today and it is almost gone. Delicious cake, moist and flavorful. We did substitute strawberries instead of raspberries since we are in FL and the strawberries from Plant City are on sale and fresh. Very great and I would recommend it to anyone.

The orange cake was fantastic. Very very moist, but the frosting was way too sweet tasting. Over powering.

This cake is my favorite cake to bake! It is incredibly easy but looks like it took a lot more work than it actually does. I like to put fresh raspberries in between the two cake layers as well to give it even more raspberry taste. Everyone that I have baked this cake for loves it, it is light and refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. Easy and delicious. When I am in a hurry I just use cream cheese frosting and it works just as well.

This is a great cake!! Great for Spring or Summer. I made it spur of the moment, so I had to substitute sour cream for the creme fraiche and used the juice from my orange w/ some concertrate. Will make again.

Perfect! My son, who is a 6 and a big fan of Giada picked this recipe for TG dessert. He loves oranges. The only change I made is, I used freshly squeezed orange juice and strained it- to take the pulp out.
It's so easy to make and decorate. Everyone loved it. It's a crown pleaser and a nice complement to the traditional pecan pie, which I made for my daughter.

AMAZING! I am not a cake-baker by any means and this cake came out perfect and tasted incredible! The only change that I made, simply for time's sake, was that I used a can of Dunkin Hines whipped cream cheese frosting and mixed in the raspberry jam and about 1/4 cup of orange juice. It gave the store-bought frosting a homemade taste and went really well with the cake. The cake itself was perfectly orange-y and incredibly moist. I will definitely be making this often!

Used Mascarpone in place of the Creme fraiche as I couldn't find it in two of our stores. Will plan better next time and "hunt it down". When I tasted the frosting it seemed a little "light" on raspberry taste so i did add a little more than the 1/4 cup asked for. House smells wonderful and cake is delicious, no wonder it's Todd's favorite. Will most definately make this cake again, most likely for my 4 grandsons!!
