A co-worker's husband Matt made this cake for her birthday and she was kind enough to share what was left over with us,and it was so good! It was a big hit a work and quite a few of us downloaded the receipe. Great cake for any occasion! Great job Matt!

I made this cake last night for the First Time and it was the bigges hit with my Husband and 3 year old daughter. It was one of the easiest recipes ever and omg! DELICIOUS! Thank Giada....

I made the cake exactly as written except I baked it in a 9x13 pan. The cake by itself was wonderful, however, the icing had an odd after taste. Not sure if that is was creme fraiche is suppose to taste like but I didn't care for it. Next time I'll try cream cheese.

Made this for dinner last night (along with Giada's garlic and citrus roast chicken and it was heaven on a plate. Holy cow - that raspberry frosting was some of the BEST frosting I have ever had. I couldn't find creme fraiche, so I made my own - super duper easy. (It's just 1 c of whipping cream with 2 Tbs buttermilk added - combine in a glass bowl, cover and let stand at room temp 8 - 24 hours. Loved the cake - so light and tasty, and the raspberry preserves in between the layers were yummmmmm. Highly recommend this recipe!

This cake is a delight. I used marscapone cheese in the frosting instead of creme fraiche (it was half the cost used strawberry preserves instead of raspberry (it's what I had and used drops of orange liquer instead of water in the frosting. This is an excellnt holiday cake -- much lighter than what is usually served. I'll make this again.

this cake is a great break from rich chocolaty cakes. The cake was so light and airy and the frosting with the jam was a little tart and sweet. It was great the family loved it. I will definitely make this again!

My mom used to make orange cake for my birthday every year when I was a boy. I haven't had an orange cake in years. I made this cake from Giada. I'm a terrible cook but this recipe was very easy. I substituted orange jam for the raspberry jam. This cake was absolutely incredible. I just had my fourth piece and thought I would post a comment. Thanks Giada!!!!! This is my new favorite dessert.
