I generally do not comment or give reviews but this cake is so good I just have to. The cake is easy to make and the taste is wonderful. I made it for my husband's birthday and everyone loved it.

I made this cake for my mom's birthday and all 9 of us loved it. It is a beautiful cake with the light pink icing and raspberries surrounding the bottom - it's one of those that gets oohs and aahs as you bring it in to the room. The cake is light yet incredibly flavorful. I will definitely be making this one again and again.

Loved It! Made it for family. Totally didn't pay attention to the part where it says to add water as needed while making the frosting recipe but when it started getting all clumpy and did NOT look like frosting I looked at the recipe again to see what I was doing wrong. So I realized my mistake, added a little water and it loosened up and was great! Other than that followed the recipe to a "T". Yummy cake! Family loved it!

How do I do this? I want to put this recipe in a 13x9 pan and I wanted to add the Jam and the Raspberry's in the batter. Will it still cook OK?

I made this for my husband for our anniversary dinner. It's gorgeous and perfect for a romantic dinner with the raspberries surrounding the cake. It tastes as great as it looks, too...very moist and light cake. It's a new family favorite. Thanks, Giada.

I'm horrible at making layer cakes, so I decided to make this cake using my brand new bundt pan. I made the cake exactly as the recipe said, but instead of using the frosting, I made a orange-raspberry glaze to pour over the top. I took a small jar of good raspberry preserves, then squeezed in the juice from the orange that I zested for the cake. I added about a cup or so of frozen raspberries and simmered the mixture until it thickened up a bit. After the cake cooled, I took it out of the pan and placed it on a plate and poured the glazed over the top. It was AMAZING!! It's for my husband's birthday. I'm definitely keeping this recipe!!

This is a grat cake. I don't like frosting but the combo of the frosting a jam make this cake actually lseem lighter then most frosted cakes. I really liked it because it starts with a box cake and since I am not much of a baker this made it easy for me. I did change it up a little and used low suger jam.

    This is a keeper.

While this cake had good flavor and was very simple to make, the icing was very sweet, too sweet for me, but I will make it again for my friends who love sweet desserts. And here in Alaska there are a lot of those!
