I was really excited to make this recipe on New Years for my get together, but it didnt wow me like i thought it would. It didnt necessarily taste bad, but no one really even tried it and the ones that did were indifferent on whether or not they liked it. It is definately missing something in my opinion.

These were really easy to make. I just cut the pastry in squares so there was no waste. I used giada's olive tapenade from target and it worked great.

Love the technique with the two sheet pans. These little yummy bites were a hit on Christmas Eve! I've added puff pastry to my "must have on hand" in the freezer. Endless possibilities ...

Great recipe concept! I've also topped the puff pastry rounds with homemade pesto, tomato and crumbled bacon. Delicious!

Simple and delicious, though I had trouble finding olive tapenade so I just used chopped black olives.

I have a feeling the difference in baking time is more related to the gauge of our pans than to the recipe. I have heavy, professional weight aluminum baking sheets and I gave it an EXTRA 20 minutes with the top pan on before I cranked the heat up on my oven and took the top pan off. This is, however what they talk about when a recipe says, "actual baking time may vary".
Yum, yum, yummy, though!

I made this for my lovely wife and her girls at work. After reading the reviews, I added 1 lb of sweet Italian Saugage and half of a jar of Sun Dried Tomatoes. My wife said it was a big hit. The girls loved it and one girl took home a piece for her daughter. Every recipie I made of Giada's has turned out fantastic. From one Italian to another Thanks Giada
