Used homemade turkey stock (instead of boxed chicken broth ; added 1 generous tsp of rubbed sage; used Pillsbury pie crust. Followed the rest of the recipe as written. Loved the pancetta in this!

I made this recipe Friday after Thanksgiving and it was an absolute success, my 18 year old kissed me and said it was the best pot pie ever!!! Easy to make. Love it!

This is an excellent recipe, and despite my improvised alterations was a big success for dinner for 6 adults the day after Thanksgiving. I made one large pot pie, covered it with a prepared pie crust and brushed the crust with a lightly beaten egg before baking. I omitted the corn and instead peeled and diced 2 small russet potatoes and added them with the chicken broth. I baked the pie about 10 minutes longer than the recipe called for which, along with the added starch, seemed to evaporate too much of the chicken broth. I also didn't measure the pepper as I was cranking the pepper mill, and consequently added too much. Thanks Giada.

I saw Giada make this on Monday - I had to make it on Tuesday. My husband had leftover turkey from a luncheon with his class at school. I used bacon instead of pancetta and added celery. I put the chicken mixture in an 11 x 7 pan. My suggestion about the topping, if you're using 11 x 7 pan, is to still cut it in the four pieces and place on top. I had a pretty ugly, but tasty, topping when I tried to lift the whole thing to put on the pan! Didn't work. It boiled over alitte bit, but maybe the extra celery I put made it too full. Baked for 30 minutes. It was delish - recommend for leftover turkey.

Delicious! Did not alter one bit and it was soooo good. Now when there is a chill in the air I say to my family....Guess what time it is? Pot Pie time!!! Of course they know it is a Giada recipe...i make sure and take credit only for the cooking. THE KIDS LOVE IT!!! They ask me every winter....mom are you going to make pot pie? I tell them to tell their friends on their video gaming system (they can talk and play with their friends its pot pie time and they say ok well be right over!!! I make it at least once a week during the winter months and even over the summertime. I am so grateful to Giada for sharing her recipes with us. Every single recipe has been fun to try and amazing to taste!!

I researched several recipes before deciding on this one. Delicious and easy, will be making again and again. A real hit with my family.
A few things of note: I used what I had in the fridge: left over turkey breast, 1/2 cup lima beans, 1/2 cup canned corn, and 1 cup peas, also leftover. I added the veggies at the very end so as not to overcook them. (they were al dente already Love the pancetta.
As a working mom, I didn't want to spend too much time on the dough, so I used pillsbury refrigerated, it was very good. Brushed with egg wash, and sprinkled with kosher salt and black pepper. Delicious!

Yummo! I made some changes though. I added diced red potatoes to the pan with the carrots, about 3-4 small potatoes. I don't have a food processor or stand mixer for the dough so I bought a package of refrigerated pie crusts. I simply sliced some slits on the top to let the steam escape and brushed with an egg wash. It really saved a lot of time and there was no mess to clean up after rolling out dough. Also, since I do not have ramekins I dumped everything into a buttered glass casserole dish. My family loved it! Next time I think I will omit the 1/4 tsp of salt added at the end and let others season to their own taste. Great family meal for a cold night.

This was a super-delicious pot pie. I modified things a bit and used chicken instead of turkey. I also canadian bacon instead of pancetta. I made the filling earlier and reheated when needed. It turned out great and the friends we had over loved it!

This was to die for....especially the crust. I added zucchini to the filling and used blue corn meal to the crust which added a little color. This one is to try for sure. You won't be disappointed.
