it was so good and delicious and every one couldn't stop raving about how delicious the turkey is. The gremolata really compliment the dish. I added more carrots and celery as I do not want to cook another side dish and paired this with baked potato....totally yummmmmmmu and I'll keep this in my recipe box and will certainly cook it again. Thanks Giada for a most super terrific recipe.

I have made this several times and it is always good. Most recently I made it with two whole turkey breasts. I split them into pieces after they cooked and froze to take camping. Should make great camp grub!

I am not sure which part of this recipe was better: The taste or the aroma in my kitchen! We loved this recipe! After I took the foil off my whole kitchen smelled like turkey and herbs. It is the perfect dinner for a cold winter evening. I served it with Giada's butternut squash risotto and it was a hit! And super easy to do...just put it in the oven and wait for a delicious dinner!!!

I saw Giada making this on her show and decided to make it one rainy day, and since then, it's become my favorite turkey dish. The first time I made this I used turkey breast, but the breast meat doesn't work as well for braising than the dark meat. The white meat was almost mealy and somewhat dry. The second time I made this I used only turkey thighs and legs, and the end result was incredibly moist and tender (not to mention less expensive. I like more sauce with the turkey, so I used 2 very large onions, 5 each carrots and celery stalks. I also had a can of crushed tomatoes and put that in. You need to at least triple the amounts of tomato paste, wine, and herbs, but if you want more veggies and sauce, it works perfectly. Do not skip the gremolata, it totally makes the dish and brightens every bite. Try it with mashed potatoes, it's a perfect match. This is not a quick recipe by any means, but if you're patient, the wait is well worth it.

I made this recipe with chicken as opposed to turkey but otherwise exactly the same as recipe! It was unbelievably delicious! Do not scrimp on the gremolata..that makes the whole dish! Without the freshness of the herbs it would be almost too rich. Meat was fall off the bone tender and the sauce was amazing!
We served it at least 4 times in the last year and always found that a simple green salad and crusty bread goes the best!
    Cant be beat!

Made this recipe for Bunco last night (16 ladies!! - 4x the recipe along with the Lemon Risotto. Had enough leftover for the family. All four of my kids cleaned their plates! They even added the Gremolata. Served with a simple green salad and crusty bread. I added twice the amount of veggies, fresh garlic and a pinch of red pepper flakes. Since I like a thicker sauce, I added a mixture of flour and butter to the sauce (approx 3Tbs butter & 3Tbs flour for this quantity. A little richer and more calories, but oh well!! DELICIOUS..............

and easy to make dish, just be careful with the herbs, it tends to be very aromatic, too aromatic for some people. Definetely a keeper!

Giada hits another one out of the ballpark. This dish was so delicous. I didn't change anything and it was perfect. I had to go to a gourmet supermarket to get the turkey parts though. It was worth the trip. I served mine with an herbed basmati rice. Definitely a do-oer.
