A couple of years ago I decided I was going to make Thanksgiving dinner for my in-laws. I had never made a turkey before and was watching Giada make this recipe. I used poultry seasoning instead of the herbs de' provence and it was the best turkey I have ever had. You can't make a better gravy then this either. Thank you Giada for sharing thi, I look forward to making it again this holiday season.

SO flavorful and moist! Best turkey we've ever had. Not too much work and a great result. My mom was SO apprehensive to try this recipe because she was worried that if it was bad Thanksgiving would be ruined but boy was she glad we tried it! Will definitely make this our usual turkey recipe every year! I used the pan juices in gravy but I cheated and used the dry packets to skip on some of the fat from butter. Even with the dry packet gravy, it was absolutely delicious! I used 1/4 cup pan juice and 3/4 cup water for one packet and it tasted like it was made from scratch. Thanks Giada, your recipes never disappoint!

This is one of the best turkeys we've ever made, and we've made plenty. It was nice not to brine the turkey, and the result was just as flavorful and moist. The juices make a great gravy, too, although I followed the usual gravy recipe -- skimmed drippings plus flower, then added juices and stock. Excellent.

There is absolutely NO other way a turkey should be done!! This was fabulous ~ my husband (who has never enjoyed turkey due to the typical "dryness" thought this was great. Tip: You just HAVE to make the gravy that goes with this! It is super full of flavor and so smooth! Just about good enough to drink from a cup!! Loved this new turkey "staple" in our home!! Thanks, Giada!!!!

This is my favorite turkey recipe ever and have used it for the last 4 years, this year will be five. The citrus and herbs really compliment the meat and give's it the best flavor! This recipe is so good that I will not even consider another!!!
