I put mine in my Nesco cooker...I use a bunch of fresh parsley instead of the herbs that are called for because I do not have access to the other fresh herbs where I live...I use the lemon...orange and onion but also add a delicious apple...I spray my turkey with pam cooking spray versus her butter combination and it is the best turkey I have ever made! The combination of the citrus and parsley brings out the turkey flavor so much as if it were perfectly seasoned...I have to say I was skeptical at first because of the citrus so it makes u wonder if it will turn out...my gravy does not turn green and I have to say the gravy is fantastic! My family can't say enough about the flavor and they say it is the best turkey I have ever made or they have ever tasted...so moist and delicious! It is a keeper and I will be making it this Thanksgiving and Thanksgivings in the future!

This is unbelievably delicious. But my gravy turns out green (the fresh herbs and people just can't get "around" that unexpected color ... so I buy packaged turkey gravy (sigh

I did a test run for Thanksgiving yesterday! This turkey is delicious! I have a gas oven, so the time ran a little longer than the recipe called for. The juiciness of this turkey is out of this world and the flavor is amazing! No need to use to fresh turkey with this recipe. Using fresh fruit and herbs is key. I would recommend this recipe to anyone! This is the first turkey I have ever cooked and it still came out golden brown and juicy. YUM!

I brined the turkey before following Giada's recipe, and you would not believe how delish it turned out. I also used a fresh turkey. For special events and holidays, that's my suggestion! This is the best turkey I've ever tasted, much less made!

I've made this for Thanksgiving and Christmas and it's been a hit with everyone in my family (except my sister who is ornery and difficult and wants the "traditional" turkey cooked in the bag, ick. It is labor intensive but it is completely worth it because you get this beautiful, moist, and delicious turkey (and a lot of compliments.

I love this recipe. The meat is soooooooo moist and flavorful. The citrus flavor & fresh herbs make this recipe a keeper. I have made this recipe the last 3 years in a row for both Thanksgiving & Christmas.

I've made this turkey for 4 Thanksgivings running now, and will never make another turkey recipe again - who needs to?? This recipe was incredible - the turkey is moist and flavorful, and it makes the most amazing gravy I've ever tasted. Plus - the turkey soup that comes later from the carcass, drippings and juices - to die for! LOVE IT.

This is easy and even if you don't have all the fresh herbs it still tastes amazing.

Absolutely, hands-down, the BEST turkey I have ever made... Everyone craved it and asked me to make it again! Easy to get all the fruits in the bird... just wonderful! Thanks Giada! :
