Thank goodness for Giada and FN's recipe search engine! We were invited to spend Thanksgiving with friends. When asked what can I bring, my host asked if I could provide a turkey. Luckily for me, and the dinner guest, I watched Giada prepare the most scrumptous turkey ever. As the turkey was defrosting, I was searching for and found Giada's recipe. The turkey was baked exactly the way Giada did hers. After all how does one improve on perfection? The turkey was a delight. Everyone enjoyed it. I've never received so many compliments on anything I've cooked. The flavor is beyond description and the turkey was moist, tender and a thing of beauty. Thank you for this recipe. You really did save the day.

We made this with a brined turkey (Trader Joes and it was so flavorful. We did stuff the turkey so we put the extra herbs in the roasting pan when the liquid was added, rather than in the cavity. The gravy was voted the best in our 25 years of Thanksgiving dinners. I made a traditional bread stuffing, using the herbs de Provence rather than sage, marjoram and thyme.

I have to say I read every review and evry one was 5 stars, so I decided this is the turkey that we would try.
I used a frozen turkey, and I have to say.... This is the BEST turkey I ever had!! My family has designated me to be the cook for the turkey from now on, The smell alone was so scrumptious that the taste just blew all anticipation away! It was the most tender turkey anyone was raving about. Don't give this recipe a doubt at all!!! 5 STARS*********************** All the way!!

We lived in Washington DC and my wife is in the army. She had quite a few friends that did not have anywhere to go for Thanksgiving so we had everyone over to our apartment and I made this turkey. Everyone LOVED it. It is the juiciest turkey I have ever made, and everyone wanted the recipe. Since then I have given the recipe to my Mom, Grandma, and Sister, and they all loved it to. This is a must try!!!

I have had this recipe on my mind for a lot of years. I share the cooking responsibilities between my two other sisters and I. My mom is all about tradition, not that I'm not, but she was concerned that Giada's recipe would be 'too Italian' and it wouldn't taste like a normal Thanksgiving turkey. I really wanted to make it, so I worked on the family to convince them that it would be good. So they finally said yes. I made the recipe I had been wanting to make since Giada premeired it on her show. I had never made a turkey by myself before, so I was kind of nervous, especially with all the pressure of getting a recipe into the menu that none of my family members were sure should be there. It turned out to be very easy to make, I know it says 'intermediate' but please don't let that stop you. All I have to say it, my family was very surprised how moist, golden brown, and delicious it was! My sister volunteered me to make the turkey again this year because I did so well last year! I was kind of amused that they finally trusted my judgement. Thanks Giada for making this recipe!

My mother and I decided to host Thanksgiving last year, and had never made one before. We stumbled upon this one and it was amazing. We couldn't believe how moist and delicious it was. We lost this recipe, but absolutely couldn't make our turkey any other way!

I made this recipe last year for the first time. My brother-in-law said it was delicious and it was the best turkey he ever ate -EVER!! I prepared it the night befoore, then brought it to room temperture where I brushed it again with melted butter & oil. It was so moist. Not to be believed. The fragrance from the herbs as was the best.

I've been living in the US for 5 years now, married for 3.5 years, so this will be my 5th Thanksgiving. We've always been invided to Thanksgiving. But never cooked one before. Other than sweet potato casserole. I wanted to cook my first Turkey this year, since next year's Thanksgiving my husband will be overseas with the US Army. My husband and I were wathcing Giada on the foodnetwork last night, preparing her Turkey, and it looks delicious! I am going to use her recipe this year, to cook my first turkey ever. Thanks Giada! :

I'm makig this this recipe for the 5th year in a row. My friends all say it tops their own traditional turkeys. The meat is wonderfully moist and has great flavor. With just a touch of Italian flare...this turkey recipe is the highlight of our Holiday celebration.
