I found this to be very bland. With the leftovers I poured some jarred tomato sauce over it and it was wonderful.

My husband loves milanese! The first time I tried it I used veal, but I've also tried it with pounded chicken breast (I don't eat veal. It was great. I added some grated parmesean cheese and a bit of nutmeg to the bread crumb mixture. And to finish off the dish, I sauteed some sliced peppers and onions and a bit of garlic in the same pan I cooked the chicken in. I then added 3/4 c of white wine and 3/4 c of chicken stock to make a sauce and deglaze the pan. Poured the vegetables and sauce over the chicken...fantastic!

This is the first time our family has ever tried veal. I was very surprised, it had great flavor and the kids enjoyed it as well! The only problem was the meat shrinking inside the crust.
