The only time I'd eaten veal scallopini was at a resort in Southern Oregon and I loved it but couldn't find it anywhere else. This dish is better than that served in a restaurant. Double the sauce, it is wonderful! Thank you Giada.

I *rarely* rate anything five stars but this one is exceptionally good and exceptionally EASY! I used chicken and chicken broth since we dont do veal and it was just great. Be sure to squeeze the lemon on the dish before eating. We served with spaghetti and roasted asparagus. Thanks Giada!

i used a vidalia onion b/c i was out of shallots. it worked just fine. the mushrooms absorbed the wine and juices from the veal. the saffron cream was decadent. oh so good. giada is a genius!

I rarely eat veal and have never cooked it. I love saffron though so I thought I'd give it a try. this was so easy to make and was absolutely delicious! I added some spinach to it as well. It is worth the expense for the saffron (DO NOT LEAVE IT OUT!!!. I even reheated this dish the next day for lunch and it was just as delicious! It's definitely not doing my waist-line any favors though.. I will only make this dish for special occasions!

This is a great recipe with veal or chicken but the saffron makes it. You can get saffron for $3.99 for 1 gram at Trader Joes which is the best price I've found so far. It is also very fresh, probably because of the turnover.

This was my first time eating veal and I was really satisfied. What a great meat. Really good recipe, and easy, too!
