This was an excellent side dish and really soooo yummy! You could actually add chicken or something if you wanted to make this more of a main dish, I guess too. The good brand of hoisin def makes a difference too. We made this for the first time last evening, but it will be the first of many times we'll have it now. Thanks, Giada for mixing things up, but still providing an awesome recipe!

This dish is a new favorite in our household now. This is my second time making it and it was delicious both times. The only thing I changed up was the mushroom (yuck and intstead I added some yellow and red pepper. Tonight I actually added some fresh snow pea pods from my garden too and boy was it great! Thanks again Giada for another great recipe!

I made this dish twice and found it was VERY easy and good thr first time. I used some asian brand of Hoisen sauce from Safeway. I made it again last night and used a better brand of Hoisen sauce I purchased from Whole Foods Market and it made a HUGE HUGE HUGE! difference. It was simply divine.

This is a GREAT dish and SOOO yummy! Definitely don't use "chow mein" noodles, as I think they meant to put LO Mein noodles here. Maybe I'm wrong. But either way, this dish is so good and I highly recommend it!

I added sliced green peppers. I liked it. My husband thought it was too sweet.

This was by far the best vegetable chow mein that I have ever made. I will continue to make this tasty dish, because it is easy and fast to make.

Very good. I give it 4 1/2 starts. Although I love it, my wife did not because it was too sweet for her, which means it will be a while before I have it again :-( We added 1 tsp of chili paste which added a nice heat to it. We also reduced the mushrooms and added 3/4 lb of thinly sliced strip steak. Yummm. PROS: tasty sauce, crisp vegetables, equal or better than carry out Chinese food. CONS: prep time (2 people x 50 min, lots of dishes (which we did as we went, and my wife hated it.

I made this dish with whole wheat linguine to make it healier. I also added a few more veggies, like celery and onions to make it more filling and I added chicken. I stuck to the base sauce, its very tasty!!

This dish took my wife and myself at least hour & half to prepare, not counting cook time. Would not recommend unless you have lots of time you dont know what to do with.Ended up throwing AWAY.

THIS MAY BE A NICE DISH TO INTRODUCE A CHILD TO ASIAN CUISINE, BUT FOR THE ADULT PALATE IT SEEMED TO LACK SOME SPICINESS. I DON'T KNOW , BUT, PERHAPS THE HONEY NEUTRALIZED EVERYTHING. I LIKE GIADA, HAVE SOME GREAT RECIPES FROM HER, BUT THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM.
