This is a nice twist on a rum mojito, especially as I prefer vodka. But it's very sweet indeed, I only used half of the simple syrup.

I read the other comments before making the mojito, which was very helpful. Therefore, I cut the simple syrup down only to a half cup. I used a half cup of sugar and a half cup of fresh mint, instead of club soda I used a can of lemon lime drink. My hubby who is a mojito fan said that it was very good. Thanks again Giada

I loved the recipe but did reduce the simple syrup to 1 cup. Also a sqeeze of lime on the final drink did not hurt. Otherwise it was great. This means I do not have to stand around mixing individual Mojitos all night.

I enjoy Mojito's!! This is a great recipe, but i did cut the simple syrup from 1 1/2 cup to about 1/4 - 1/3 cup. Also very good with rum!

I was very excited to try this. It sounded so cool and refreshing. I am glad I read all the reviews on recipes. I did half the sugar in the simple syrup recipe and it was fine. Not as much flavor as I had hoped. But cool and refreshing on a scorcher of a day!

I was really looking forward to sharing this drink with my husband. However, it tasted like sweet cough medicine; all other ingredients got lost in the mix. We tried to tweek it, but failed. If I make it aigan, I will cut the sugar to 1/2 cup. Good luck.
