Loved the flavor - lemon brightens this one up. I used 8 oz of cream cheese and 8 oz of mascarpone so I think that's why mine didn't curdle. I didn't drain the veggies. Everyone at the party liked it.

I threw all of the ingredients into a slow cooker and then topped it off with the bacon in the end...Wasn't greasy or curdled at all! LOVED IT!

Mine was oily & curdled, it didn't look very appetizing but it tasted ok. It doesn't reheat well either & it's not like you can eat the whole lot in one sitting! I prefer Arti's spinach artichoke dip. I omitted the bacon as I don't eat pork. I wouldn't make this again, it's very expensive.

Was way too expensive to make and the taste just didn't measure up to the cost. It is really bad if not eaten just when it is heated.

The consistancy was drippy and the flavor was not all there compared to an easier, old-fashioned way of making an artichoke dip. You will be dissapointed if you make this dish. Sorry Giada.

This was delicious! The pita chips are awesome. I will never buy another bag of pita chips. I will always make my own!!

This was VERY SAVORY! Like another reviewer, I used cream cheese for several reasons: 1 it's what I had in frig; 2 it's much cheaper than Mascarpone and 3 It has more flavor than Mascarpone. If you have not ever tasted Mascarpone, it really has no flavor. It's not so much a cheese as it is a really thick cream, so that's what it tastes like. I think cream cheese is tastier in dips and it's within my budget. So, if you didn't like it with Mascarpone, try it with cc instead. It's fabulous. The chips were easy and yummy too. I added a bit of shredded parmigiano reggiano on top of the dip as I had some in the frig. It was DELIZIOSO!!
Those of you who said yours was greasy, please try again. I think I fried 3 pieces of bacon and I didn't add any olive oil. Just use enough grease to cook onions & garlic, then take them out of the pan (without grease and place in food processor.

I wish I had read the reviews prior to making the dish. I will try it again as it had potential - but it was very greasy/oily and did not set up - looked like glop. I will definitely drain the veggies very well and probably use cream cheese.

I am so upset with this recipe. I always love Giada's stuff. This was a disgusting oily mess. Do not make this recipe. Bacon is naturally greasy -you do not need to add oil to any part of this recipe! I found it strange that the recipe did not say to drain the grease from the pan after frying the bacon. I did drain the grease and it was still horribly greasy. I was making this to bring to a party and I had to throw the whole thing away and showed up at the party with nothing but the pita chips. Big Big disappointment!!! I still love you Giada

I followed this recipe exactly. It was wonderful in every way. Cooked bacon in microwave. Not a greasy dish, just right for special occasions. A little pricey but worth it. Lucky me, first attempt.
