The dressing on this salad was wonderfully light and refreshing, I particularly liked the mint. It added a nice surprise, I will definitely make this again!

We made this Salad last weekend for guest. I did some prep the night before by doing the melon balls and putting them in a tuperware overnight.
Made the vinagrette prep in the morning and through it together when ready to serve. Everyone made comments about it. I would have been leary with the different herbs used but the taste was the most wonderous surprise. Everyone wanted the recipe to make again. Ta Da!!!! Big Success and so easy.

i didn't have any amaretto BUT i did have some Barcadi Limon Rum instead-AWESOME results!! i also didnt bother melon balling the melons- i cleaned out the shell of the watermelon and cut up the melons to place in the shell. i was able to stretch the amount of melon that way to. this is a definite repeat in my book!!

I enjoyed this twist on a "plain" fruit salad. My family did not enjoy it as much, so I served the sauce on the side when I brought this to a friend's house. Maybe I will try the same recipe next time without the basil.

Delicious and light. It was a fair amount of work for something that likely would have been good with just the fruit, but everyone really enjoyed it.

I served this as a wedding-preparation dish to keep our friends happy with a refreshing break from their wedding preparations. I served it in the watermelon, as per the recipe and it was a big hit. I recommend this easy recipe to anyone who wants to jazz-up a gathering. A great summer appetizer.

I am not a big melon fan and I did not think basil would work with it but this has to be the best fruit salad I have ever tried. The herbs add just enough kick to make you crave more once it is gone.
