I had to add more broth. I used spinach instead of the swiss chard. I thought this was perfect for the winter and I brought it with me camping.

Very good. I added an extra can of beans because it didn't look like it had enough beans and I put 2 cups of corn instead of 1.5 because we love corn. I didn't add the red pepper at the end and it was still too spicy for most of my family so next time I make it I'll start with half the chili powder and go from there. Love the swiss chard in this! Also, we topped with sour cream at the end which was delicious.

Really disappointed in this recipe. I followed it to a t except I used red chard instead of Swiss chard but that shouldn't make that much difference. Normally I love Giada's recipes but this one was just ok. Not something that I'll ever make again.

Wonderful dish. This is an excellent alternative to heavier red chili. I will make this all fall/winter!

Absolutely delicious! I modified a few things - no fennel seeds, simmered a whole jalapeño for a little extra heat, and added 2 cubed and peeled potatoes for extra heartiness! My man loved it! I topped it with a dollop of mascarpone cheese, shredded jack & cheddar cheese, and tortilla strips! So yummy, thanks Giada!

This recipe is a winner! The flavors mesh well and the end result is a recipe I will make many times in the future. The only changes I made to the recipe--as written---I cooked the onions a bit longer as I prefer the taste of onions just a couple steps away from beginning to brown---AND I could not find swiss chard the day I wanted to make it so I substituted a small chopped baby spinach. Terrific outcome!!

This was the best White Chili I've had. I made a couple minor modifications but I will definitely be replacing my current white chili recipe with this one. Yum!!!
