I made this for a Halloween get together at my house full of parents and kids. I doubled this recipe to make sure I had enough for everyone (along with another pot of beef chili. Everyone loved this chili; the chard in it is wonderful. The flavor is fantastic. I might add more beans this time but I can't really think of anything else I would change. The ground chicken is a great time saver, if you have more time it might be good to use some dark and white meat diced into pieces.

The base of this recipe is very good. I simply replaced the greens with Spinach as my local market had no chard. I did up the flour a tablespoon, you have to know to adapt to your enviornment (addressed to previous comments. The Chili is more mild and the flavors are subtle, but an excellent alternative. Give this a try, thanks Giada!

I made this recipe on Halloween night for a crowd and there wasn't a drop left. It is so easy and a great alternative to traditional chili. I started the chili with some pancetta and added a little more crushed red pepper than the recipe calls for. I served it with toasted crostinis with olive oil and shaved parm. YUM!

This chili is absolutely delicious! I only used one pound of chicken, which was still plenty, and couldn't find Swiss Chard, so I just used kale, which was still delicious. It makes a TON though, so be prepared for leftovers! Mine froze well, so definitely something you could make and save for later! I'm not a huge fan of parsely, so I'll probably leave that off next time. But you have to give this a try... it's the perfect meal to warm you up on a cold or rainy day!

I MADE THIS RECIPE ON HALLOWEEN, TONIGHT. I WAS VERY EXCITED ABOUT IT. IN FACT I DOUBLED THE RECIPE. I WAS SO SURE IT WAS GONNA BE GOOD, BUT WAS VERY DISSAPPOINTED. THE FLAVORS TOGETHER DIDN'T MIX AND IT JUST DIDN'T DO ANYTHING FOR ME OR MY FAMILY. THUMBS DOWN. I WILL NOT MAKE THIS RECIPE AGAIN

So good, making it again this weekend. Used cubed, brined chicken breast, works great. Fennel seeds are a must, brilliant!

OK, this was just OK to us. I think it was tasty enough, but not the style of chili I like. I knew going into it it would be a bit different---chicken, white beans, all relatively mild flavors, but I wanted to try it anyway. We usually make the "All American Chili" from Cooking Light and prefer the complex flavors there.....jalapenos, peppers, hot turkey sausage, tomatoes, wine........ you can see where I'm going. It was a nice way to experiment with something different now that the weather is cooling down, but I think we'll be sticking to the one we know and love............

This is a tasty and versatile recipe. I have used ground turkey and chicken and spinach. I will try with some lime juice next time. This one is a keeper.
