Loved this recipe! I substituted Kale for the Swiss chard and it turned out great. My 7 yr old nephew loved it and he's a very finicky eater!

This was a hearty and delicious chili. I only added half of the swiss chard. I did not have ground chicken, so I finely chopped up chicken tenders. Perfect with the cheesy green onion bread. You did it again Giada!

This was a great chili alternative to the normal red-bean chili! I have two teenage sons who are hard to please and they, along with my husband, loved it! One variation I tried, was I used spinach (half of a frozen box, thawed instead of the swiss chard. It was wonderful and I highly recommend this to anyone!! Great recipe Giada!!!

I made this chili but with a few variations. I roasted 3 chicken breasts in the oven with the same seasonings used for the chili.Once cool, I shredded the chicken and added to the chili. I added 1 drained can of diced tomatoes and 1-2 tablespoons of barbeque sauce. Instead of the ciabatta, I made cornbread. I thought for sure this chili would last at least 2 nights and I would possibly get out of cooking. Not the case... My boyfriend and I devoured it in a day and a half!

I just made this for dinner the other night, and the leftovers were gone in one day. My family LOVED it. It was a nice alternative to the red bean chili that we are used to eating. I have to admit, I did leave out the swiss chard, but it was still awesome. Thanks Giada for a GREAT recipe. This will become a regular in our menu.

Don't believe the negative posts on here. I am one fo those people that needs a "kick" in my food and lots of flavor and this DELIVERS! My husband was moaning as he ate it last night...he LOVED IT! We try lots of Giada recipes and 95% of the time she delivers and this was a KEEPER!

TIPS: Instead of the normal spice measurements, I added "heaping" tablespoons or teaspoons...a little extra than what was called for and it worked out great. For example, it called for 4 cloves of garlic...I added 5. Just ever so slight modifications.

ALSO, I didn't use ground chicken...I simply cubed 2 lbs. of chicken and that worked out very well.

ALSO: I followed one reviewer's advice and added a pinch of kosher salt and black pepper after adding each layer. It's important that you season this as you go.

This was really worth the time to prep for. I will definately make this again. I loved the fennel it really makes the dish. I had to substitute ground turkey because my store didn't have any ground chicken but the flavor was incredible. I also make the Cheddar and Scallion Bread and it really complimented the dish. Wanted to make the Limoncello Granita but didn't have time to pick up the limoncello liqueur - can't have everything. . Thank you Giada for something that's not just run of the meal (no pun intended

I was so excited to make this recipe which sounded really healthy. Well do not bother it has absolutely no flavor at all, even with lots of added additional spices !!!! I ended up throwing it down the disposal, what a waste !!!!

I had to add extra chilli powder, extra salt, extra cumin...And, still this recipe failed to deliver. The final result tasted pretty much like a chicken soup with mushy ground chicken. My kids truly diliked it, as did my husband -- even after adding a TON of extra red pepper flakes, just not good.

I was excited to make this recipe after reading all of the over the top comments. Sorry, but it just didn't live up to the hype. I followed the recipe exactly and it was okay but nothing special. I doubt I will make it again.
