I've made this several times already and it is a winner each time. All of my guests have asked for the recipe - and to top it off it is VERY inexpensive.

NOTE - do NOT use 2 cloves of garlic unless you are a garlic fanatic.

I saw this simple recipe on TV th other day, and just whipped it up now. Amazing! The pita chips are easy too, and can be variated from oregano, salt and pepper...try parmesan cheese, rosemary, whatever strikes your fancy. Watch carefully as they toast, though, because they burn when your back is turned. As for the dip, this is a flavourful, low-fat alternative to hummus which packs a lot of fat calories from the traditional ingredient of tahini. Try it, you won't be disappointed (and it takes less than 10 minutes!!

This bean dip was so good that no one believed that it was so easy to make. The pita wedges are perfect. I tried it with water crackers, etc., but the pita was best. I know there are other recipes for this dip, but I'll stick with this one.

This bean dip was by far the best I've ever made. I have tried other recipes that did not come out this creamy and full of so much flavor. My sister who is a vegetarian now makes this once a week and keeps it handy in her fridge for a quick light lunch w/salad. Outstanding!!!!!

I first tried this recipe when a friend made it for our weekly tailgating party. It was a hit, and I immediately came home & found it myself. This is so easy & quick to make, most of the ingredients we have in our everyday pantry so it is a great dish for last minute entertaining. This will now be a mainstay at all our parties!

This dip is quick, easy and delicious. I like it much better than hummus - it's much creamier and more delicious. I have to admit, though, I drastically reduced the amount of garlic.

Very strong garlic flavor...next time I'll just use 1/2 the amount called for in the recipe. Aside from that I think it's the best and easiest dip recipe I have! And the pita chips are great!!

My husband is lactose intolerant so dip is not the best. I made this last night and he ate it up. I most enjoy the pita chips!
