Classic, easy - a great dip to have on hand and people love it. I cooked my own beans (easy, and healthier than canned and roasted the garlic first to take the edge off (and therefore am able to use 3-4 cloves and get more garlic flavor with less garlic bite and added a bit more parsley - but the beauty of this recipe is that you can play around with it a bit and it will still be great!

This dip is so tasty and easy to make. I only used 1/4 cup olive oil because 1/3 seemed a litte much. I also only used 1 clove of garlic instead of 2 and it still tasted a bit too strong, so next time I will use 1/2 a clove. The pita chips turned out great too. Definitely a good dip recipe to have at hand.

I was making a curry tonight and accidentally opened a can of cannelini beans instead of chickpeas... so I immediately went online to find a good dip recipe. I used jarred minced garlic and bottled lemon juice (what I had on hand, but for as simple as it was to make, this dip was sooooo good!

This was amazingly fast! I added about 1-2 tsp. of fresh thyme, and used a sliced baguette instead of pita. It was soooooo good! Will definitely be a regular appetizer in our house!

Sometimes raw garlic in a recipe can be overwhelming. I thought that was the case in this dip. I ended up throwing it out. I would suggest using less or using cooked garlic. I'm going to try it again, but I will fry the garlic first, mash it, and then add it to the beans, for a sweeter, more mellow garlic flavor. Sorry, Giada. I usually love your recipes.

Didn't have any fresh parsley, so went with fresh basil instead. Added a few pinches of red pepper flakes along with a few grinds of McCormick"s Italian Grinders...absolutely delicious!

This recipe was fantastic! I used less oil and added more lemon juice and a touch of vegetable stock instead. Put it on grilled pizza with sauteed spinach. Delicious!

I'm learning to love beans and the recipe definitely helped inch me closer to loving them. My guests loved this as did I. So easy to make too! It has since been made three times because it is just that good! I also set out slices of bell peppers and seedless cucumbers. As I am writing this I'm craving it, I guess I'll be making it tonight!
