Made this tonight for dinner - it was DELICIOUS! I followed the recipe's exact amounts, but it was just dinner for two - so plenty of leftovers! If I make it again just for the two of us, I may half the recipe. Didn't need to add any more salt & pepper once everything was tossed together, enough flavor from all the ingredients. Definitely a good option to make for dinner w/ company over. I will definitely make this again.

Delicious!!! So making this again! I did use crab meat in place of lobster because I made it for a huge party as a side dish and lobster was not on sale. I would cut down on the salt by just a touch for me but everyone loved it! My brother in law wants me to make it for him every week because he loved it so much. I find it tastes better the longer it sits, one of my Favorites, thank you Giada

Hands down, this recipe is delicious! You will want to add this to your favorite recipes!
I made this dish last night for my boyfriend and his parents and it was a success!! My boyfriend’s parents enjoyed the meal and raved; and most importantly my other half and I LOVED it!! The basil does wonders; the wheat penne goes so well with everything, I never would have thought. Nonetheless, the wheat pasta was a delicious combination to the rest of the ingredients! We enjoyed this dish over a bottle of Pinot, along with a fresh spring salad made with walnuts, dried sweet cranberries, a sliced pear, red onions, crumbled blue cheese and Brianna wine vinaigrette salad dressing! This recipe has been added to my favorite family recipes! Cheers and Happy Eating!

It was delicious, everyone love it. Yes a little expensive but it when a long way and the second and third day even better. I also added scallops and next time I'm going to add mushrooms to it and cut back on the bacon topping.

I was very disappointed in this recipe. I made it exactly as written, as I always do the first time. I found it average at best and far too expensive for the results. Would never make it again.

Fabulous! Didn't use the lobster. Was even better the second day. I was skeptical about all the bacon fat but it was great.

Great flavors from the bacon, I skipped the lobster and used only shrimp and chicken stock instead of clan juice. I also put some corn starch to thicken it up. Will make it again!

Great recipe. Made recipe exactly except bought 28 oz can of tomatoes by mistake but the recipe was incredible. Resisted temptation to cut the bacon fat, seemed like too much, but remember her saying on the show to make sure you keep all the fat, so I did and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Wow, I was concerned that the bacon would overwelm everything else even though I cut it in half. It didn't. This is really good. I plan to make this again but without the lobster. I think it'd be good with some spicy italian sausage, or even hamburger for those with picky children.
I used shrimp stock instead of the clam juice. I also chopped up two large button mushrooms and cooked them with the garlic.
When I de-shell shrimp I boil the shells and freeze the stock. I did it with the shells from this dish too, and even added the lobster shells after I had taken the flesh out.
I also plan to add some tomato paste or perhaps some tomato sauce next time so I get more of a red sauce. This almost seemed too 'thin' to me. It was still good though!
Tonight I am making the crab stuffed peppers from the same show and will review that later. Thanks for the superb meals Giada!!
