A very refreshing salad! I substituted chipotle powder for the espellette and diced up a small jalepeno for a little additional heat...a wonderful and QUICK dinner idea!!

I was using leftovers to make more of a seafood salad and this recipe worked fine. I didn't have/use the exotic chili powder (didn't need it and was able to throw this together in a matter of minutes.

Espellette is a chile powder from the Basque area of France. Using the Internet, go to http://stores.culinaryneeds.com/. Do a search on that web page for the espellette and you will find it. It comes in two sizes. The smaller size has a price tag of $13.75 for a 1.58 ounce container. I think you will enjoy using this spice because it does have a unique peppery taste that will add a lot of flavor to any dish where you want some heat. Enjoy.
