Thanks to other recommendations I also used 1 1/2 c of flaxseed (great omega-3 source in lieu of oil. Also used ~1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate and sprinked 1/3 c pecans on top instead of all nuts. Used sour cream, too. Crowd pleaser for grown-ups and my three kids!

For years I have made banana bread and everyone loves the bread. But this has to be the best I have ever tasted. My old recipe is gone and Flour's Famous Banana Bread has taken it's place. Easy to make and easy to eat. Everyone loves it and I have shared the recipe with many friends.

This is a great recipe - moist and full of flavor. It is great toasted with a little butter. You should probably double the ingredients and make two banana breads...one won't last very long.

I have yet to try other reciepes, but this one seems very efficient though. I thought it was moist and equally balanced in flavor , no ingredient over whelming the other. Also the intrustion were quite simple. In all and to conclude the out come was delectable.

This is the best banana bread that I've ever had! Everybody who has tried it absolutely loves it. I omit the oil and replace it with applesauce, I also omit the creme fresh/sour cream. I do add extra nuts and include ground flax seed (sneaky way to add omega 3 and chocolate chips.

I've tried several recipies looking for the best one - the search has ended! I will never try a different recipe!
I substituted applesauce for the oil, didn't have any nuts - but added chocolate chips instead. Also, used sour cream. SO YUMMY!!!!! Very moist, can't wait to try it again with nuts!

I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT THIS IS THE MOISTEST AND MOST TASTEFUL RECIPE FOR BANANA BREAD I HAVE EVER HAD..WHENEVER I MAKE THIS IT USUALLY DOESN'T LAST FOR MORE THAN A DAY...I HAVE MADE IT SEVERAL TIMES AND IT TURNED OUT GREAT EVERYTIME...I HAVE ALSO USED 4 BANANAS INSTEAD OF 3 1/2 AND I USED YOGURT OR SOUR CREAM INSTEAD OF CREME FRAICHE...THIS YEAR MY MOM AND I ARE MAKING MINI LOAFS FOR GIFTS TO OUR FAMILY MEMBERS ALONG WITH MANY OTHER HOMEMADE GOODIES.HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYS THIS RECIPE AS MUCH AS I HAVE...

I changed the recipe around a bit because of the ingredients I had..
Didn't have enough sugar so I used 1/2 cup regular sugar and the rest brown sugar. And to make it EXTRA delicious I swapped the 2/3 cup of walnuts for chocolate chips!
This loaf is just BREATHTAKING.. sooo delicious! :
