As a tribute to the Neely's I par boiled the sweet potatoes and let them rest. Cut them into thick rounds and took the skins off. Drizzled olive oil on them and took to the smoker for about 20 min. Now we are taking right? Added some chipotle powder to the wet mix and now this is a true Smokey Sweet Potato Salad. Thanks Neely's........

I thought this was delicious BUT substituted half of the sweet potatoes with regular potatoes. It cut the sweetness. And the smoked paprika is a MUST--adds an amazing flavor!

Really good! I left out the vidalia onion and added more green onion. Also added a few strips of cooked bacon that I minced up along with about 3 hard boiled eggs to make the salad a little more hearty. Also, I didn't have any OJ on hand so I left that out too, but really delicous and simple. It went very well with some bratwurst on the grill. This is a definitely a keeper.

Loved how simple this was!!! I didn't try any of it, i made it for my diabetic grandmother. I left out the salt & added a little cayenne to it, & she ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!

I made the salad last night and WOW! It was absolutely delicious! We don't use white potatoes (on the no-no list when staving off diabetes and when I googled came up with Gina's version. I used organic sweet potatoes, did not use orange juice and did add some cayenne. (cayenne is excellent for many health ailments. My husband and I loved it! It was great. You really need to let the potatoes cool and don't overcook them. From now on this is my one and only potato salad. And for the person who commented on Gina's insincerity to her husband.....GET A LIFE! I so appreciate the teamwork and love shared between those two. It's something every couple should aspire to!

i wasnt sure to give it 2 or 3 stars. I gave it 3 for the yummy dressing that went with the sweet potatoes but the dressing with the sweet potatoes didnt really "go" together well. It was good but not great, i think the dressing would work better with the white potatoes.

Interesting recipe all together but the sweet potatoes are a big no no here. I'll definitely will keep the dressing but not use the sweet potatoes with this.
