I haven't yet tried this recipe, which sounds yummy as well as healthy, but in response to Paula's critique of Gina's voice she doesn't like hearing and Gina's "insincerity" - Paula, I can respect the fact that we're all different and like/dislike certain things. But I think that Pat and Gina Neely seem to have a most loving and sincere feeling about each other as well as their recipes and their love of cooking together. I can't wait to try this recipe!

I added a little extra mayo as it seemed a bit thin, and used chives from the garden instead of green onions. BONUS: The chives are in bloom and the purple flowers are a pretty addition to the orangy potatoes. They'll be a nice burst of flavor for anyone brave enough to enjoy them with the sweet potatoes. Not sure if the orange juice added anything. Since we aren't OJ drinkers, I'm thinking using a fresh orange instead or some apple cider vinegar cut with water may be a good substitue...I might try that someday.

I love the Neely's recipes, but this one didn't cut it. I love sweet potatoes, but this recipe was lacking staying power. Sorry, but I won't be making it again.

Made this with the burgers, what a great different salad.
Definitely you can taste the cumin. But I like that flavor, some may not.
I think if you really want to "show off" with something very good and different this is perfect.

I've recently decided to partake of far less meat in my diet, so when I saw the Neely's mixing up this salad I thought this would be a great dish for my new lifestyle. It was nothing short of incredible. I wouldn't change a thing about it.
One thing: it looks (on the show that this recipe was made with yams, which is how I made it (more colorful than sweet potatoes. I also roasted the red bell peppers to give the dish more flavor. It was beyond yummy!
Watching the Neelys brightens my day. They are a hoot to watch, without a doubt my favorite Food Network program.

I like the recipe was easy to make. My husband said the onions were too over-powering. I added an extra boost to the ingredients which was spicy brown mustard I would also try bold and spicy whichever is on hand. I hope the Neeley's try this. Thanks for the good ideas.
