Ginger Honey Glazed Carrots

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper
Directions

In a small saucepan, melt butter and stir in ginger. Add honey and stir to dissolve. Stir in carrots and toss to coat. Pour in water and cover to steam. Stir occasionally and cook 8 minutes or until tender. Season to taste

    Delicious and easy to make!
    I have made honey glazed carrots but never with ginger. I used dry ginger and was really impressed with how it brought out a richness in the taste of the glaze. Will continue to use this recipe.
    Very easy! And so delicious! I used about 4 cups baby carrots sliced in half. Oh my gosh..so good, While they were cooking I kept tasting the sauce. The only thing I did different was to add some corn starch to the sauce in the pan. It was too good not to have it stick on the carrots.
     
    My husband kept eating them and saying how good they were. Then he said they should be listed in 2 categories...vegetables and dessert.
    I've made carrots tons of ways, I just love the versatility and they go with anything.
     

     
    I tried these just to the recipe specs and they were perfect. Left a little liquid in the pan but that was fine as they weren't dry or overcooked, 8 minutes was perfect on med/med hi gas burner.
     

     
    Will definitely include this one in future dishes.
     

     
    I needed a quick veggie for Easter, and I had carrots, ginger and honey. This worked great. When I finished cooking, I drained the carrots and put them in a larger pyreg pan. Then I topped with some fresh chopped cilantro, and lightly dusted with cinnamon/sugar.

    This recipe is so easy and delicious. I made it with Indian Chicken, which was fantastic!
    not as much flavor as I would have expected. Altons are better.

    These carrots were a hit with the family, and go well with most dishes! I agree, the ginger and honey are the perfect compliment to the cooked carrots, and the recipe is a snap to put together.
    This was a great recipe. I don't like cooked carrots but loved these. My kids (7 and 3) really enjoyed these carrots as well! Great recipe!
