Suspicious at the beginning, totally satisfied the end! Don't be fooled with this eggless recipe! It's so moist. I skipped frost and compote parts but still came out de~licious:

I just made these and they are delicious. I couldn't be happier. I have tried a couple of different gluten free breads and they were horrible. This doesn't tase like gluten free and that's the best part!!

I've had the difficult pleasure of having to cook for a vegan wife & baked goods has always been a challenge. I saw this recipe & decided to make these for my wife's birthday & these were, without a doubt, the best vegan dessert we've ever had & that's saying a lot. The recipe is extremely easy & I am now a big fan of Xantham Gum which I believe was the secret ingredient for the moistness.

I am not gluten-free or anything, but I made these for a friend that is and they were a hit. I tasted them to see how close they came to the old-fashioned chocolate cake I make and it's every bit as good. If you are looking for a GF cake, look no further than this.
