I made this for lunch and brought the leftovers to the ice fishing house.. The boys loved it. Quick, easy, cheap and absolutly delicious! A+ in my book.

Easy to prepare and the flavors are excellent. The orange peel and bay leaf definetly bring the entire recipe together. We made the recipe a bit healthier by using whole wheat gnocchi.

This recipe just didn't "wow" me. There wasn't very much flavor and I even added a little extra wine! I was looking forward to making this meal, especially after reading all the good reviews. I couldn't taste the bay leaf or the orange flavors, and it simmered for about 25 minutes. What's missing?? I'll try making this one more time. Maybe next time I'll add orange zest instead of the peels.

This was so amazing. We chopped everything ahead of time to make this easier. We did not oil the pan since the bacon would render plenty. We also used sweet potato gnocchi from Whole Foods. This was certainly not the healthiest dish, but the taste and texture outweighs my health conscious. This embodies hearty winter comfort foods.

I don't like olives, so I left them out. And still, this dish was outstanding! The flavor was fabulous. My husband said that it was "company-worthy".
