Paula would have been proud of me because I sauted the vegetables in butter and I will worry about cholesterol later because this dish was delicious.

This was so delicious! And, as the show was based on what you found in your fridge, I didn't even have turkey, so I used leftover pork (the other white meat! and it was still wonderful. This could easily be served as a dinner for company.

I cooked this for my family the other night, and all of them loved it. It looked great and they thought that I had spent a lot of time fixing it.

I liked this dish, but it was VERY rich. And, it made a HUGE amount. I wasn't sure what size can of green beans to use since the recipe didn't say. Also, I think it would have been better with more rice. Because I have this "thing" for cranberries with turkey, I added a cup of dried cranberries; the occasional bite into a berry was an added plus for me.

my husband gave this a four but i give this 5 stars!!! it really satisfied my "casserole" craving. i would say however, that i did not do the pie crust part and instead put bread crumbs on top. it was creamy and satisfied the cheesy barometer for my husband without being too overpowering for me.
