Summer in a bowl! Excellent flavor, and, not to sound like a copy cat, so REFRESHING!

To cut make and eat immediately, I took another reviewer's suggestion and made it with 32 oz of Greek yogurt, no straining, no waiting...and you DON'T want to wait. :

Oh Mercy! I just made this and I don't know that anything can stand up to it. This is fantastic. between the tart of the lemon and the tart of the yogurt. AMAZING.

The most refreshing substance known to man.

This will be great to have in the freezer after a day of yard work in mid-summer, or after spicy hot food. Cool, creamy and crammed with casein!

Very easy recipe. I used Greek style yogurt, 1 quart, and skipped the draining the yogurt step. Simple to make, very refreshing. I will definitely be making this again!

This recipe makes a great frozen dessert with the perfect texture. It's light and very refreshing. It's way easier than making ice cream.

I left 1/4 cup sugar out because when tasting, it seemed sweet to me, which was also said by another reviewer. I had to make the crystalized ginger myself, which I've never had before but love. I used it to sprinkle on top instead of adding it to the yogurt mixture because I felt it was a bit to intense. My yogurt didn't firm up in the ice cream maker but it did in the freezer so all is good.

This was fun to make, and I love the ingredients, but I will cut back on the amount of sugar next time.

Fantastic!! I have the Krups Ice Cream Maker Alton uses and have found I can make unlimited batches by putting it in the freezer while it churns...it never warms up and the yogurt/ice cream is great. Better yet, there's no noise!!

I think the frozen yogurt probably works best with fruit flavors instead of a chocolate or traditional ice cream flavor. Also, I use a nylon mesh bag I can wash instead of buying a $3 package of cheese cloth each time. I'm a big ice cream and frozen yogurt eater, so I'm going to make a batch of this stuff at least once per week.

I've never been a huge fan of frozen yogurt, but the combination of lemon and candied ginger is just fantastic.

Now, I'm inspired to try different combinations.

What a great-tasting way to get extra calcium into our diet.
