These wings are great, and I rated them at 5 stars because with a little tweak they are pretty much the best I've ever made. After making them by the recipe they were good, but the orange flavor was a little to powerful. So I just used 4oz instead of 6, and put some tobasco in for added heat, and they are basically perfect for me.

I decided to try this recipe because the technique intrigued me. These came out nice and crispy with moist tender meat inside. I will now use this process when making other wings now! I liked the orange glaze, but think I would prefer more spice from ginger and garlic...but that is just a personal preference.

I liked these a lot. We don't have a good wing place and I'm not one for frying. Too much mess. SO I saw his show and gave this recipe a shot.

I didn't have the hoisin sauce, but he told us what's in it so I doctored up prepared Sweet Baby Ray's barbeque sauce with a little extra soy sauce, garlic powder, and sesmae oil.

Other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. They were a little orange-y, but since its in the title, its what I was expecting. I made them the day after the show aired, and I am making them again tonight.

I found this sauce a little too orange tasting. I would either try cutting back on the orange concentrate or consdier doing what I did the second time. I used pineapple juice instead of orange and used less of it. Also I added about a half of teaspoon each of grated ginger and minced garlic

The cooking method is good, but I found the sauce too sweet for my taste. Would make again, but maybe with the hot sauce.
