I made this along with the roast turkey and cranberry dipping sauce from the Good Eats Thanksgiving Episode, and this was definitely my family's favorite. Since the oven was busy with the turkey, I cooked this with indirect heat on my gas grill. While the turkey was resting, I reheated it in the oven. Delicious!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I made this, but I wasn't disappointed! It turned out moist and so full of flavor, it could be a meal all on its own! It is much better than regular old cornbread. Definitely Good Eats! Thanks Alton!!! :-

This recipe is not only very easy to make, but it is also delicious. I had made it with the intention of it being a side dish, but we ended up eating it as the main course!

Great item to serve with your dinner. Also easy to make & serve. The kids love it. I highly recommend all of Alton's Thanksgiving ideas & recipes. I use them every year...

I love making this dish, i usually make it as an accompagnment for Moroccan sweet potatoes lentils. i make sure that i always have creamed sweet corn cans at hand, and use old or unused bread. it is a very good dish served hot, but it even gets better warmed again.

I LOVE ALTON,AND WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE SALT BRINE TURKEY [IT WILL BE OUR TRADITIONAL THANKSGIVING BIRD RECIPE NOW], BUT THIS IS NOT A KEEPER. TASTLESS & DRY-------I RARELY THROW FOOD OUT, BUT THIS WAS NOT WORTH THE CALORIES.
