This was bifar the most easy one to do. And the way it comes out is nice aand crispe on the outside, moist inside. The salt help a lot. You do not have to put any inside. Just add black pepper and you are rady to eat.

This receipe makes perfect baked potatoes! I watched the show and saw the reasoning for not using foil. Excellent show. My potatoes before were always gummy. (I was a foil user. Now, I can make perfect baked potatoes every time.

This is the only way I bake my potatoes (well at least whole any more! No more microwave for me! This just makes the inside nice and fluffy while the outside gets nice and crispy and salty! Can't wait to make twice baked potatoes from them! Thanks again Alton!

I've always baked potatoes just the way Mom did -- wrapped in foil. I tried Alton's method thinking that there surely couldn't be any difference. Mea culpa! This turns out a baked potato better than any I've had at home or in restaurants - no other way for me now! Thanks!

Potato was good I loved the crisp potato skin with a tad bit of kosher salt.
