This recipe turned out really well. I used ground turkey instead of lamb. Next time I think I will add some diced onion to the meat mix just to add a little more moisture to the turkey. The Muhammara sauce was AMAZING! It was perfect, the garlic and red pepper went perfectly together. I did not have pomegranate molasses or sherry vinegar, so I used some regular molasses and a small squeeze of honey and red wine vinegar instead. The only thing I will say was it was difficult to grill the pizza dough. This was our first time grilling it, so maybe that's it, but it was very sticky and difficult to shape. If you haven't made pizza on the grill before, be quick about turning it over! On direct heat, the dough blisters in seconds. Overall, we loved this and will make it again for sure.

This is the first time I've ever left a review. I am a big fan of Bobby Flays and watch
all of his shows. I make a lot of his recipes as well but, I wanted Miriam to know
that my entire family loved her recipe. It was unique and not only interesting to make but delicious. Thanks for sharing! And, as for Bobby having you two on
    his show...well done!!!

This was delicious. Easy to make. Great smell (we cooked outside on BBQ. Had had many years ago while at UC Berkley. There were several quick food places with one exception to this recipe...the pita bread was cut open on one side and all the cooked ingredients were put inside the pita pocket. Try this recipe. Delicious!!!

As soon as I saw this episode yesterday I ran out to collect the ingredients and made it the same day! I had never been a fan of lamb until I tasted it prepared in Greek and Afghan restaurants. This reminds me so much of the taste I love from those dishes. The flavors are amazing. I recommend this very highly. Thanks for sharing this Miriam!!!
