This sandwich is a killer. All the right ingredients. What's not to like?

Great Grilled or pressed. I would recommend light rye bread as I don't know what pullman bread is and didn't see the episode. I also used reg. bacon and apple slices instead of green tomatoes as they are out of season.

While I've loved other Bobby Flay recipes, this one didn't suit me or my family at all. I've noticed that most reviewers who raved about it made significant changes to the recipe, but I made it as written, which is my usual habit on the first try. After cooking for my husband for 20 years, we debated whether this was the worst thing I've ever made, or the second worst. Ever since seeing the throwdown I've been excited about trying this recipe, but was so disappointed - I can't imagine how this won a contest. Too bad, as the ingredients were fairly expensive. We'd rather eat the traditional American cheese version.

This was just wonderful. The combination of the brie and goat cheese complemented so well. I think that it is very important to use good quality cheese in order to create the balance. As to the green tomato, I noticed the one Bobby used was not a hard green, but had just begun to produce a yellow color. I used one from my garden with just a tinge of yellow and maybe that made a difference, but the whole sandwich worked together and was just excellent.

I live right around the corner from the Pop Shop, and it's one of my favourite places to eat out. I was at the taping of the "Throwdown" episode, so I knew Bobby had won. The night after the episode aired, we went to Pop Shop and split the two sandwiches for our own taste test. My husband and I both agreed, while we love Stink and Connie's sandwich, Bobby's was really excellent! It's been on the Pop Shop menu since the show aired, with a few minor changes, and we order it often.

Neither my husband or I were crazy about the goat cheese. Very strong taste. We will try this recipe again with brie only.

I loved this sandwich. I didn't write it down originally so some of the ingredients changed when I was at the store. Try it with avocado instead of green tomatoes and I left off the water crest. Used some really good sour dough and it was fantastic

I really liked the flavor of the sandwich overall. I think next time though, I will use a regular tomato instead of green. I'm just not a big fan of the green. Other than that, it was a great twist on an old favorite.
