I made this recipe last week for my husband, niece, and her boyfriend. I am always looking for new chicken recipes and now that the weather is nice, we love to grill outside. I have tried out many new recipes on my family. This was the first recipe that we decided to rate at home. All 4 of us rated this one a 5 and a keeper!!!! This will be a regular on our summer menu and will carry it over into the winter by baking and basting in the oven. Love it!

This was awesome...but I am so glad I read the previous reviews. The brine ends with 8 springs of thyme....then the basting sauce recipe begins with 2 cups teriyaki sauce. Can you imagine the mess if you'd brined the chicken in the entire recipe?
I used my new outdoor George Foreman Grill for the chicken and it cooked it to perfection...no flare ups on this grill. The recipe is a definite keeper the entire family loved it. Thanks Tyler.

This is a very good recipe and yes those of us who cook a lot can figure out the mistake. But Jo Ann - everyone might not be aa smart and self-praising of themselves as you -- so what is your beef about people asking questions and others helping them out. Get over yourself. No need to be at B.

Simply the best grilled chicken ever. I made it for a crowd and used chicken thighs and legs only. Enjoyed by all, and they all had seconds. I omit the toasted sesame seeds, as I don't always have them on hand, and have used dried thyme in the brine as a substitute for fresh.

WARNING - the recipe on this site leaves some key words out. See the first review by Jim for clarification. The ingredients for the Brine end at Thyme.

    Luckily I'd seen the show.

I did make this last night and it was as good or better than any takeout.

This recipe was sooo good. Everyone loved it, the husband and the kids who are usually very hard to please. I did mine with stir fried vegetables served over rice and on the chicken, all chicken breast. I cut the chicken into pieces and it cooked fast on the grill. I might try in the oven like the others. It is the brine and the sauce that make it so good! They can't wait until I make it again!

I have never cooked with teriyaki sauce, sesame oil or toasted sesame oil. I have never used a brine either. I'm not sure what it did for the chicken, but I loved the results. I baked half and put half in a skillet. I prefered the baked because the flavor was the same and it was less messy. I did broil the last 5 minutes.

I only made 1/2 the sauce, but would suggest making the whole thing.
