used frozen taters for increased speed with dinner though that is not why it is not a keeper here..it was just the flavor. I think it mostly has to do with the fact the thyme flavor really came through and hubby and I are just not big fans of thyme.

Wonderful. I admit, I used diced Simply Potatoes instead of bothering with cooking fresh ones because I was in a hurry. That being said, the recipe was fantastic, and the caramelized artichokes were fantastic.

Used red potatoes since we didn't have fingerling....still very tasty! Slightly overcooked the potatoes, so it became more of a mashed potato with artichokes and onions...

A great way to make hash. The browning of the artichokes makes them really sweet, and the other flavors blend perfectly. My store didn't have the fingerlings, so I used Yukon gold, quartered and smashed them. Tasted great though I'll go to a store that has the fingerlings next time.

Loved this recipe!!! Made this on a trip to the lake... Forgot the vinegar so we substituted with white wine... Was awesome! Even got my kids to eat artichokes without realizing it! What's even better??... Got an adult, who claims to hate all veggies, to eat and he loved it! Definately a keeper!!!!

If you watched this on Guy's show, he misspoke about this recipe being vegetarian. The addition of chicken stock makes this a non-vegetarian dish. If you want to make this for your vegetarian friends, replace the chicken stock with vegetable stock.

And just to clarify....vegetarians do not eat animal products, whether it be the actual meat or just the stock made from the meat. However, there are various "types" of vegetarians (i.e. ovo-vegetarians eat eggs, pesco-vegetarians eat fish, etc.. Vegans do not eat animal products and do not use/wear products made with animal products.

I really expected the people at Food Network to be more knowledgeable about this and to not distribute incorrect information.

Other than this, the recipe looks really awesome! :
