I accidentally read red wine vinegar to deglaze the pan! It still turned out delicious!

Simple and refreshingly tasty! It's all about having everything done ahead and then assemble, get the prep work done. I did omit only one ingrediant, chilli flakes, however, not only can you use bacon or pancetta (careful, pancetta is very salty, try Turkey bacon and cook till crisp. I am one who dislikes turkey bacon, however diced and cooked till crisp, I can barely tell difference. It's the fresh basil (roll leaves up then finely slice into strips-chiffonade and the grated parmesan cheese that make the flavors. Great dish Guy!!!

Amazing flavor! All of my children loved it. Even my 16month old. Super easy to make. I did add crimini mushrooms. Can't wait to make it again. Best part is that it isn't a saucy dish so my children weren't a mess when they were done.

Excellent! I used tarragon instead of basil and subbed shallot for onion, just because that is what I had on hand. Love, love, love, will make again. I love the tip about the chili pepper, and keeping the bacon crispy.

Delicious! The second time I made this I forgot the basil and it was still full of flavor. It's a great dish for many situations.

Just delightful!!!! Especially with fresh basil and tomatoes from farmers market( and thick cut bacon. Follow recipe as is. Used a good Carbernet for red wine to deglaze (and also enjoyed with dinner. Company loved it.
