Try it using thick cut pepper bacon. May need to adjust the other spices depending on your taste and add some honey. Awesome appetizer!!

Very, very good, we were a group of 20 at this tailgate, and they all loved it, asked me to bring it at every tailgate..would recommend changing just 1 thing though, use pre-cooked bacon instead, save time and effort, and the bacon turns out extra crispy without breaking when putting it on the stick...yummm yumm..

Absolutely fantastic! I made these to eat as we watched football, and they were a bit hit. Will most certainly make again.

I made this when I went to the Chargers/ Patriots Game with about 10 people (unfortunately the Chargers lost. It didn't last long. Everyone really enjoyed it and ate it up. I didn't add as much chili after reading the other reviews fearing it would have to much heat. I asked everyone what they thought and no one complained about it being to hot. Everyone is asked that I make it again when we go the the Chargers/ Raiders game. Hopefully the Chargers win that one..

I made this for a few friends and it was very good! Bacon does make everything taste better and the chipotle barbecue sauce was excellent. I had to be careful not to over cook the bacon. Also, I reduced the spices a little bit. This is definitely a recipe I will try again!

Sooo good! The ony thing I did not like was the baccon flavor hides the flavor of the shrimp.

These shrimp were delicious! After eating these you wont want to eat shrimp any other way! The BBQ sauce was so good, It had just the right amount of spice so that it wasn't too hot, but it had a bit of an after burn. We loved the sauce so much that we have decided that we are going to use sauce recipe to make BBQ ribs in. The only things we did differently from the recipe are that we didn't add the red pepper flakes (we thought that would make it too hot, and we added a little honey to the sauce which gave it the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. Also I would suggest using thick cut bacon, (guy uses it on the show but its not listed on the recipe, with the thick bacon you can cut a bacon strip in half and it is plenty enough to wrap around one shrimp. We will definitely be making these again! Thank you Guy, this is a winner!

This recipe should be on Guys top 100 list, if for no other reason just for the Chipotle Barbecue Sauce. I made mine with Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce and the great sweet smoky taste of the BBQ sauce went just perfect with the smoky Chipotle.
