I made this for the OSU/USC game last night and honestly was the best appetizer ever! Made the recipe to the T and I couldn't have asked for anything better. The sweet heat, and the linger of the heat long after shrimp were gone was amazing. Each bite got better and better. That sauce could be used for anything. I plan to marinate chicken in it tonight! Incredibly versatile sauce. Thanks Guy for this winning recipe!!!!

I've made this recipe at least 4 times and everytime a winner. If the sauce is too hot just adjust it. I'm always asked for the recipe. Keep up the good work Guy.

My whole family loves shrimp although not so much the heat in it. So I just adjust the heat as most people would do, if they couldn't handle it, as I can't. It's a shame you don't care much for garlic either, but thank the Lord my family does. Why don't you tweak the recipe a little and see it you can come up with something that you would like with the shrimp. I think Guy's recipes are just delicious, when I take most of the heat out of them. Give the guy (no pun intended another chance and good luck on your cooking. Oh by the way, did you say you were from Uppity, MA? Maybe that explains a lot, huh? Good luck. Betty, Hoyt, Ks. 7-5-09.

I haven't made the recipe yet, but it sounds great and it sounds like you are the minority. I happen to love garlic and when a recipe calls for 2 cloves, that means 6-8 to me. Many people also enjoy spicey foods. Obviously you enjoy neither spicey or garlicy. It doesn't mean its not a good recipe from Guy or that he doesn't know what he's doing. It all has to do with personal taste hon! Can't wait to try it. Most recipes I've tried from Guy have been very tasty.

    But, that's my personal taste.

I'm not a 'heat' person persay, but my friends are...so I left out the red pepper flakes, and only 2T. of the chopped chipotles in adobo sauce and it was perfect for all...Also, I baked the bacon at 400 for 5 min. and it was just right to wrap around the shrimp easily...Do all that, & it's very YUMMY

These shrimp are amazing! The sauce is great, you just have to use a little common sense on the heat. If you like things hot follow the recipe verbatim, if you don't like them so hot then you probably already know to reduce the peppers. I bake the bacon for about 6 minutes at 400 degrees that way it stays nice and pliable and easy to wrap.

This fraud contiues to disappoint. This recipe calls for way too much peppers. I defy anyone to admit that they could actually taste the shrimp. All you get is heat. These "bad boys" are just that, bad. I don't think this guy has any real cooking skills. He's just a lot of show. He reminds me of early Emeril when he used to over-garlic recpes to get the audience to ooooooh.

This was an awesome shrimp recipe! Over the years, we have tried several grilled, skewered shrimp recipes, so we are very picky on ones we will re-try and keep. And all who tasted agreed it was fantastic and definitely must do again! It had the right amount of hotness for our tastes.
