I just finished eating these for the first time, and my mouth is still watering!!! These are by far the most AMAZING onion rings I have ever had and they are so easy to make. I even threw a few dill pickle slices in the batter, and they came out great also! i made a different recipe last week and they just don't even compare. this is the only onion ring recipe i will ever use! A+ Guy!

WOW best ever onion rings. Just finished eating these babies and my guys said GREAT best they had ever eaten. Not grease crispy and tender. Batter was light held up to the dip. Will defiantly make again.

Made these last night for the first time. Oh my, just amazing! The sauce was creamy, tangy, with a flavor twist from the roasted bell pepper. Onions stayed crispy in the oven while I made several batches. With the dredging in flour and made-from-scratch beer batter these were more work than batter from a mix, but they tasted oh so good! Will definitely make these again; wouldn't change a thing about the recipe. The secret is the dipping sauce. Another winning aspect: the Parmesan dusted on the finished product.

My husband and I made these for dinner the night before Super Bowl Sunday. We used two onions and had so many raw onion rings leftover, we just left them in fridge in the buttermilk overnight and served them up fresh for our party the next day. What a hit! These were by far the best onion rings we have ever made! I used Johnny's seasoning salt in the flour dredge and they were amazing! Will definately make them again! We didn't make the sauce, we just made a homemade fry sauce and a blue cheese dressing and they were perfect!

Great! Of course, like every time I fry food (which is rare I wind up eating too much... But what a thing to eat! So addictive! I too used the old substitution trick for buttermilk -- it's not a thing I keep in the fridge. Good recipe.
