the BEST onion rings i have ever had!! i soaked the onions in buttermilk for around 6 hours - the batter was light and crispy, the onions were perfectly cooked inside. i will definitely make these again and again!

We recently had cajun style onion rings at Four Keg's in Vegas, They were so good we couldn't stop thinking about them. We decided to try making some at home and remembered a big bite episode with these. He didn't let us down his beer batter and Mario's cajun idea were a great combo! Basically onion rings and a sauce you'd find on a hot wing.

I had no idea that onion rings were this easy to make at home! Next time I won't use 2 large onions. I made them for two people and had to toss out a lot of the onions which I hated!!! :-( One onion is MORE than enough for two to three people, especially if you are making them with another Entree' ex: Burgers ;-

These are the best rings EVER! a must try. BUT don't do what I did and go and get 2 HUGE onions, all you need are 2 average size onions and you will still get a huge plate of rings! THANKS GUY!

These are the best homemade onion rings I've had. They have a similar taste to Outback Steakhouse's for a whole lot less. They also taste good with a little cyan (if I spelled that right into the dipping sauce. I would recommend this recipe to anyone. They are easy to make and anyone can do it. When you put the onion rings into the oil, make sure it's hot because the batter sticks easier.

Every once in a while I have a yen for fried fish so I bought myself a new deep-fat fryer and wanted to try it out. My husband is an onion ring fan so I tried Guy's onion rings as a side dish for Ann Burrell's fish and chips. Although the Texas Sweet onions and buttermilk were a bit pricey, those onion rings were SPECTACULAR! I made them just as Guy's recipe told me to, but didn't make the sauce to go with them. They don't need any sauce. FABULOUS!
