I really liked this...also the fact that it cooked in the oven. I found this to have a lot of flavor. The only way it wouldn't have flavor is if you used the rub on the outside of the chicken only and not adding it under the skin. With that bacon cooked over the top it added a different twist...more fat as well, unfortunately. I always like to serve BC chicken with a nice potato casserole as there is never sauce for the chicken leaving it a bit boring for my taste. Anyway, I would make it again, so easy!!!

Loved it ! The meat was so juicy. I used a beer bottle. Removing label and cleaning outside. I added lime peel and some juice. I also used Emeril Essence seasoning. Worked out great and very tasty.

Was a hit!! I husband was drooling as I pulled it out of the oven. I did not use sage cause its not a flavor I enjoy but came out AWESOME non the less. I used a 5lb chicken and double up the rub recipe and cooked about 45 longer then stated.
    THANK YOU GUY!!!

I also used thyme instead of oregano. It was fantastic. Moist and flavorful!

This one knocks chicken out of the park! I actually did this on the grill, roasting the chicken on the side of the grill without the burner on. You have to keep an eye on the bacon, because it sometimes started to burn. I just took the bacon off when it was crisp. The chicken is SO juicy and flavorful. I served it by quickly sauteing some swiss chard and garlic in olive oil, cutting up the chicken, and putting it right on top of the chard in the saute pan. It makes a pretty presentation.

I thought the recipe was very good. I did not have Oregano so I used Thyme which is typically the spice used most with Chicken and it was declicious. I had the correct size chicken but it needed to cook about 20 minutes longer also. After the chicken was in the oven, I watched his video. Lots of inconsistencies between it and the recipe.

Oh so delicious! My husband ranted and raved about this dish. The chicken is so moist when you cook in the beer can.

WOW ! This is the best Beer can recipe I've tried. The dry rub is great, I couldn't get a 3-4 lb. chicken smallest I could get was 5.25 lb. Wife had to work over and was late had to leave it in the oven for over an hour longer on warm and it still was juicy and fell a part. the smoked bacon is great. Can't wait to try this on the grill !
