This had an overwhelming taste of sage. The chicken was very moist and tender, but the flavor of the rub was way off!

The flavor of this rub is excellent and it permeated the chicken really well. I couild also taste the garlic flavor throughout much of the chicken. For those who like a bigger chicken or can't find a 2 - 3 pounder, make sure you provide for plenty of extra cooking time. For a five pounder, it can take up to another hour before it is done.

This recipe was so easy to follow & it turned out to be the most moist chicken we have ever had. The entire family loved it including the picky 10 year olds!

The spices in the rub with the beer can method were terrific. I liked that the rub was placed inside and under the skin, as I like to remove skin before serving - kept the flavor!

This did not work for me. The oven needs to be hotter than 350..skin was just dry and chicken too FOR-EV-ER to cook..did not have alot of flavor despite having the rub on it

Great recipe, wondered how to implement in an oven. Worked fabulously!
