I'll say this about Guy's blondies...if you leave out the the nuts and coconut as I always do with recipes like this, there is absolutely no way these could be called dry as previous reviews claimed. Judging by how the batter mixed up here in the dry climate I live in, I don't think the ingredients I left out would absorb that much moisture. If you're like me and don't like desserts that are overly sweet, this recipe hits a great balance. The one thing I would tell everybody to watch is to make sure to check them at the 25-minute mark even if you usually always have to go with the longer time when you bake. I was very surprised that these were fully done at the lower time as my oven usually needs at least the five extra minutes if not ten. I will definitely make these again!

I love the name and I like Guy but these brownies were way too dry to suit me and my family.

These were so good! I only cooked for about 30 minutes and they were perfect.I used walnuts instead of hazelnuts and toasted the walnuts and the coconut. Would make again anytime were so easy too, Thanks Guy!

I made the Blondies /Dark Roots recipe for Father's Day and there were 9 of us and received rave reviews. Chewy, tasty, just enough chocolate and the appearance was excellent. The three children ages 7, 7 and 10, they came back for seconds. They were a hit with everyone. I would make them again for the ladies in my euchre card party club.

These turned out great. I would go easier on the nuts thistime but the blondies were delicious and the texture was perfect. Didn't have a square glass pan so I used a round one. Also used reduced fat cream cheese which worked out great. Love the coconut! Everyone who came for Christmas asked to take a little bit home.

These were not as chewy or good as I thought that they'd be, and it is important to mention to toast the hazelnuts, or else they don't have a good flavor. Other than that, I don't know why these just didn't meet the mark.

ha ha! By a happy mistake I put 3 eggs in this. I don't know why. I just had it in my brain that there were supposed to be 3. It made a wonderful little cake! I enjoyed these very much. I think I'll play around with different flavors the next time I make them...maybe add some orange zest or something.

Heaven! These were soooo yummy! Too yummy! I couldn't find hazelnuts so I used macadamia nuts instead. Also, based on others "dry" remarks I under cooked them by 2 minutes....I ended up with perfect edge brownies and the middles were soggy, I scooped out the edges and baked the centers another 5 minutes, mmmm, perfection!

Made this last summer for our annual Family/Friends reunion. It was the hit of the year and requested again for this year. Yummy

I was so disappointed with these... they came out dry and bland. I omitted the hazelnuts, but I don't think that would account for the dryness. Sorry, Guy, not very killer. Or money. :(
