Best biscuits I have ever made! The recipe is not written well ( I love Guy anyway but the biscuits are very tender and tasty. I doubled it and used a large bowl to cut in butter and shortening with pastry cutter. Worked perfectly.

Tender and good, but I still prefer Paula's biscuits over these...

These biscuits are tender, light, and flaky. They are very easy to make. I used a shaped cookie cutter instead of the pizza cutter and they turned out great. The mixture of the cake flour and regular flour really made the biscuits lighter than other recipes using only regular all purpose flour.

These are so easy to make. I had been looking for a good biscuit recipe and here it is. Best I've ever made. Light, fluffy, just delicious. The sea salt on top is the kicker. Thanks Guy!

For years, I made buttermilk biscuit recipe from Southern Living; they were fine. But these are...amazing. The dough feels like velvet in your hands. The biscuits come out flaky and tender with such an incredible butter taste. No kidding, these are seriously good biscuits and don't be intimidated by the directions; it was easy as pie.

I've never made good biscuits. These were tasty and PERFECT just as they are. I followed the recipe exactly. Made 4 batches for a brunch and they all disappeared. I rolled them a little thinner and cut 12 instead. Perfect size! You have to make this recipe. IT'S MY "GO TO" from now on.

I have made biscuits from Bobby Flay, America's Test Kitchen & Joy of Cooking, etc. These were tender, flaky and got the rise I was looking for, in fact, if anything I should have rolled or patted out the dough more because they were too tall! But compared to the hockey pucks I have rolled out before biscuits that are too tall is not a bad problem to have! The additional 1 cup of flour isn't necessary, just bench flour. Thanks!

Great tasting, golden brown on the outside and flaky on the inside, what more can you ask for? I have made these biscuits numerous times and even have quadrupled the recipe and they always come out grreat. Always a hit!

I just made these biscuits and they were AWSOME!I've made Tyler's & Bobby's and they were good, but I didn't get the rise I was expect
but these were light, fluffy and they rised the way buttermilk biscuits should.I used the amount of cake flour and self rising flour( cuz that's what I had that was listed in the ingridents and paid no mind to the 1 cup of extra flour. This will definitly be my go to buttermilk biscuit recipe. Did I mention I just started baking? So this made me very excited and I wasn't intimidated ( MUCH! Thanks, Guy
