These are very tasty and you can definitely substitute ingredients based on what you have on hand. No need for hitting up those chain restaurants for avocado egg rolls - just make them at home! Thanks, Guy!

These were fairly easy considering I'm not a perfessional. I love the avacado eemmmm: I was surprised I only broke one of the egg roll sheets I did your egg wash dip... great and helpful tip. You were deffinately right about making extras because they don't stick around long. your show is fantastic! Thank you for the recipe Laura from Westminster Md.

    Lynn,

The shrimp eggroll recipe and peanut sauce recipe is on the website. From the home page key in 'Springing Shrimp Rolls' in the search box. The peanut sauce recipe is within the recipe.

Me and my boyfriend have tried this recipe several times. The first time we followed the recipe exactly and each time after we tweaked it based on ingredients we had on hand. They always turn out great. Although well worth the time it is very time consuming! I've tried many different recipes but still prefer this one. We usually make chicken and shrimp rolls but leave the avocado out with the shrimp. I chop and cook the ingredients and my boyfriend rolls them. Its great if you have someone to help you!!

Loved the Chicken and Avocado egg rolls, but where is the recipe for the Shrimp Spring Rolls and Guy's version of the peanut sauce? I've been waiting for someone to put out these recipes for a long time, thank you.

At first was kinda hard to make. Now I add different things to the recipe. I use ground pork, mushrooms , beanspouts, red cabbage. We make it a night to have everyone one over. They are a hit !

The Egg rolls were really good and my whole family enjoyed them very much. The prepping for them was very time consuming though.

I saved this recipe after seeing the show he made demonstrating them. I did not plan ahead. I was just wondering what I could do tonight with some chicken and wonton wrappers. Then I remembered this recipe. I was only missing 3 ingredients, the egg roll wrappers, but I had fresh wonton wrappers from the local Chinesse market, the bamboo shoots and the avacodo. They still turned out fantastic. But plan on about 2.5 hours from start to eating.

I loved the idea of dipping them in an egg wash prior to frying. They came out golden brown. I made my own dipping sauce of Chinesse Duck Sauce, Sweet and Sour sauce, Goya dipping sauce, a bit of seame oil and chili flakes. Since I do live close to a Chinesse Market I have all sort of Chinesse ingrediants on hand.

My family absolutly loved them. I cut the recipe in half and it still made about 24 to 30 wontons.

When we saw Guy make this recipe on TV we thought he must have a screw loose! Avacado in an eggroll? No way!
We were proved wrong, and in a big way, when we made this recipe ourselves.
I would reccommend either making this recipe when you have the time and energy... not after a long day at work. Or even doing all the chopping ahead of time so that you just had to put the ingredients together and cook. Other than that, this recipe is worth the effort. The eggrolls were delicious! Even my 12yo who doesn't like avacado or eggrolls loved these (after I forced him to at least try them I made some for my co-workers and now they are all asking for the recipe.
Thanks for putting a new twist on an old idea!

*** My family loved them. They were very easy to make and came out exactly the way he made them. My kids couldn't get enough. I will definately be making these again!!
